Joe Fergison          age 92
Three Rivers (formerly of Constantine)

passed away Wednesday July 21, 2010 at the Bowman House in Three Rivers.   He was born on May 29, 1918, a son of Lloyd and Jessie (Jackson) Fergison.  On May 4, 1936 he married Madge Strayer in Bryan, OH. She preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 1992.
Joe was a car salesman, then he owned and operated an implement shop in Union. Joe later became a farmer. He and his wife eventually developed the River Heights subdivision out of their farmland along the river in Constantine.  Joe enjoyed gardening and was known for having "the best lawn in the county".
Surviving are his niece Patti Showalter, Elkhart, nephew Gary O'Dell, Middlebury, and closest  friend Kirk Hradsky, Kalamazoo.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, 4 sisters and 1 brother.
According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and his ashes will be interred alongside his wife at the Plum Grove Cemetery in Union.  Memorial services will be held August 21, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine.
