Anna Marie Cheney age 80 of Constantine, died April 28, 2025 at her home. She was born April 3, 1945 in Constantine a daughter of Domonic and Glada (Willis) Barberis Sr. Anna attended White Pigeon schools. On October 5, 1961 she married George R. Cheney in Three  Rivers. He preceded her in death February 15, 2019.

Anna worked in the cafeteria at White Pigeon Schools for many years.

Surviving are her daughters Miste Hamminga, Constantine, Kimberly (Eric Kluck) Shadowens, Grand Rapids, son Kendall (Heather Dyer) Cheney, Missouri,  grandchildren Tashanda (Austin Wagner) Bright, Zachary (Brittany) Hamminga, Shelby (Tim Keiling) Hamminga, Justin Combs, Tasha Combs, Alexander Dyer, Katherine Stevens (Aaron),  Joshua (Jessica ) Shadowens, Jordan (Ale) Shadowens, Alexander Shadowens (Kaylee), many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son in law Chris Hamminga, brothers Domonic Barberis Jr. and Donald Barberis and sister Carol Dorsey.

Per Anna's request, cremation has taken place, there will be no public services.
