Obituary

Zacharia Dean Casselman was born April 21, 1985 and passed away unexpectedly at the age of 41 on August 12, 2026. Zac was such a caring, lovable individual and there wasn’t a person he didn’t like or met that he wouldn’t try to get to know. Zac had been recently working with Corner Stone Construction, which he truly enjoyed being a part of, especially travelling to different parts of Michigan. The UP was his most recent job site which Zac was so at peace, enjoying the beauty of the UP.

Zac found the Lord through his boss Dan, and they had many discussions regarding life after death and life in general. Zac was always curious about everything in life. He would just pick up things to see if he could fix them. Often, he was over his head, but he would do his best to make it work. Life was often difficult for Zac, with many curve balls, but he would pick himself up and do the best he could with each day.

Zac is survived by his son, Bennett Lee Casselman; his mother Luann and stepfather David Boggs; his sisters, Michelle (Michael) Moore and Stephanie; his brother, Troy (Tisha) Dale; his stepbrothers, David Jr. (Danelle), Eric (Karra) and Justin (Breanne) along with several nieces and nephews and extended relatives.

Zac was preceded in death by Jerry Casselman and his beloved grandmother, Alma Casselman.

Zacharia’s family will greet relatives and friends at the Eley Funeral Home, 280 S. Washington St., Constantine MI from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00 pm with Pastor Sean Kidd officiating.

A private family interment will take place at a later date.
