Wayne D. Schwartz, age 75 of Centreville, passed away Monday, June 9, 2025 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.  He was born March 30, 1950 in Sturgis, a son of Henry and Pauline (Eichorn) Schwartz. Wayne graduated from Centreville High School in 1968. He later went to Flint Barber College, graduating in 1972. Wayne owned and operated Family Barber in Sturgis from 1987 until 1999. On July 27, 2001 he married Meljorie "Joie" Bagatnan in Centreville.

Wayne enjoyed fishing with his buddies, Buddy & Theo.  He was a tennis fan, and also enjoyed playing tennis, softball, golf and gardening with Joie.

Surviving Wayne are his wife Joie Schwartz, Centreville; son Daniel (Leslie) Schwartz Three Rivers; daughter Natalie (Scott) Trattles, Sturgis; daughter-in-law Daisy Schwartz; grandchildren Elisha Schwartz, Joseph Schwartz,  Ezekail Schwartz, Kaylee Trattles, Ella Trattles, Adalynn Trattles, Nolan Trattles; sisters Louanne (Bill) Younts, Ida (Jim) Miller, Amy Reed; brother Kenneth Schwartz and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Jeffrey A. Schwartz and Wayne Schwartz and brother Henry Schwartz.

Relatives and friends will be received Thursday June 12, 2025 from 10-11AM at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 AM with Pastor Doug Schwartz officiating.
