Tony Lee Cook, age 54 of Sturgis, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at his home. He was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on October 3, 1958, a son of Darlo and Carol (Poff) Cook. Tony was a truck driver for P&P Transportation and several other companies. In January 1987 he married Rene Kidd. Tony was known as a jokester and could always make people laugh.
Surviving are his wife Rene Cook, Sturgis, daughter Alicia (Dave) Keifer), Constantine, son Daniel Pontius, Kalamazoo, sisters Joy (Dave) Miller, Cindy Anderson, Dawn Gibson, all of Ligonier, brothers Mark (Vickie) Cook, Willy Cook, Shane (Jenny) Cook, Chad Cook, all of Ft. Wayne, IN, grandchildren Jacob and Mason, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Darlo Cook and brother in law Denny Anderson..
Relatives and friends will be received Friday at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine from 1-3pm, with services immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Scott Manning of the Constantine United Methodist Church will officiate. Cremation will follow services. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
