Stanley DAN Jones, age 74 of Constantine, passed away July 11, 2024 at his home. He was born July 12, 1949 in Allegan, the son of Stanley M. and Alice (Johnson) Jones. Dan graduated from Allegan High School in 1968, where he met the love of his life, Lura. Following graduation, he served in the US Marine Corp in Vietnam, earning a Combat Action Medal and a Purple Heart.

On May 21, 1971, Dan married Lura Lee Lautenschleger. He worked as a Plant Manager, retiring in 2012 after 20 years. Dan was a member of the SCCA Autocross and was Division Champion for 10 years. He loved anything automotive, and greatly enjoyed building any car with muscles.  Dan also loved boating, fishing and camping and was always looking for a project.

Surviving are his wife Lura Jones, Constantine; children Jody Jo (Jason) Trosper, White Pigeon, Kelly Jo (Nick) Lusk, Constantine; grandchildren Jack Davidson, Josh Davidson, and Reese Lusk; siblings Micky (David) Williams, Auburn, IN, Gerry (Dick) Pickard,Portage, Nel Wright, Allegan; brother-in-law Jack Robinson, Coldwater; many nieces and nephews; and his best friend Terry Wright of White Pigeon.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Elly Robinson.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Private family services will be held at a later date.
