Roy Daniel Singer, age 89 of Mendon, passed away Saturday, May 30th, 2009 at the Fairview Living Centre in Centreville. He was born in Butternut, Wisconsin on July 24, 1919, a son of Daniel and Evangeline (Ochempaugh) Singer. Roy graduated from Benton Harbor High School and attended a year of Junior College. He worked as an electrical engineer at Whirpool Corp. in Benton Harbor.

Surviving are his daughter Mary Singer of Three Rivers, sister Evelyn Haskitt of Noblesville, IN, niece Ellen Smith, Noblesville and nephew Paul Haskitt of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and son Douglas Singer.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Sunday June 7 at 2:00 pm at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville. Pastor David Peterson of the Centreville Baptist Church will oficiate. A reception will follow the service at the Centreville United Methodist Church.
