Roy D. Hudson, 74 of Sturgis, passed away on September 30, 2021 at his home. Roy was born in Sturgis on March 22, 1947, a son of Charles and Jeanette (Smith) Hudson. Roy graduated from Centreville High School in 1965. On June 3, 1967, he married Judith Marshall in Three Rivers. Roy retired from Coachmen RV in Middlebury as a cabinet maker. He was a former leader of the Boy Scouts and Council Member #407. He loved playing poker and going camping.

Surviving are his wife Judy Hudson of Sturgis, daughter Laura Schwartz of Centreville, grandchildren Elizabeth (Adrian) Nieves, Victoria Schwartz, Rebecca Lafler, and Wayne Schwartz, great grandchildren Arianna and Christian Nieves, brother Charles Hudson, sister Janet (Hurles) Slagle, sister Betty Stephenson, sister Judy Bupp, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Hudson and Jeanette Bupp, son Kenneth Hudson, and grandson Keile Hudson in infancy.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be given to the family.
