Robert C. Wells, Jr, age 61 of Constantine, MI, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, at his home. Robert was born in South Bend, IN on April 23, 1952, a son of and Robert and Erma (Ryggs) Wells, Sr. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1971 to 1975. On March 21, 1981 he married Jane Clark in Cassopolis. She preceded him in death January 23, 1995. Robert worked as a welder at B & B Wrecker in Elkhart and previously at E.L. Nickell Co. in Constantine. Robert was an avid outdoorsman, especially enjoying fishing.

Robert is survived by a daughter Sarah Wells, of Constantine, MI; son Robert (Angela Drake) Wells, of Grand Rapids, MI; grandson Calvin Wells of Grand Rapids, sister Donna Gillam, of Sturgis, MI, and brother John (Tina) Wells, of Wabash, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will host a gathering of friends at a later date. The family requests donations to Reverence Home Health and Hospice 348 N. Burdick St. Kalamazoo, MI 49007 or West Michigan Cancer Center 200 N. Park St. Kalamazoo, MI 49007. O
