Robert L. Warner, Sr., 85, Union, MI, died Wednesday, September 2nd, at his home. Robert was born in Anderson, IN on December 8, 1934, a son of Chester and Irene (Anthony) Warner. He graduated from Ervin School in Kokomo, IN

Robert married Jean Grandorf on March 23, 1956 in New Carlisle, IN. She preceded him in death Sept. 22, 2004. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Robert worked at R & R Furniture in White Pigeon for 17 years, retiring in 2005. He also worked at Juno Industries in Cassopolis as a production manager from 1978 to 1980 and at the Franger Gas Co. in Elkhart. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. Robert was a member of the VFW, Combat Infantry Assoc., Korean War Veterans Assoc. and was a life member of the DAV.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Linda (Harvey) Poetter, of Oklahoma City, OK; three sons Richard (Vicky) Warner, of Union, MI, Robert Warner, Jr., of TX, and Dennis (Joyce) Warner, of Mechanicsville, VA; several grand children, great, great-great, and great-great-great grandchildren; siblings Vera Mae Springman, Betty White, and Chester Warner Jr., all of Elkhart, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Janet Wallace, grandson Matthew Poetter, and sister Elizabeth Dewitt.

Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday from 12 to 1:30 pm at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine, MI. Masks are required and social distancing guidelines will be enforced.
