Richard H. Britton, age 85 of Three Rivers, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at his home. He was born June 29, 1936 in Marietta, OH, a son of William "Harold" and Ruth (Mueller) Britton. Richard graduated from Marietta High School in 1954. He received his machinist education at Glen Oaks Community College. On November 4, 1956, Richard married Lois Jean Nichols at Layman United Methodist Church in Ohio.

Dick was raised on a Dairy Farm and delivered milk. He later drove for the Crystal Dairy Company where he met Jean while delivering to school. Richard moved on to the Sponge Rubber Co. in Dayton, OH and later to Hydromatic GM in Three Rivers. He finally retired from Day International in 2001. Following retirement he worked as a handyman for many friends and Century 21.

Dick was a member of Bethany Chapel, Three Rivers, member and Assistant Chief for Lockport-Fabius-Park Township Fire Department. He was also a member of the Civitan Club enjoying making snow cones and cotton candy.

Surviving are his wife Lois Jean Britton, Three Rivers, children Thomas (Keith Geiman) Britton, Dundee, FL, Diane (Randy) Jones, Dundee, FL, Mark (Tammy) Britton, Three Rivers, grandchildren Britt Jones, Randi Kay (Nathan) Carver, Barry (Katie) Jones, Marissa (Eric) Hershberger, Jacob Britton, Kyler Britton, Ezekiel Britton, great grandchildren Kendall Jones, Michael and Gabriel Carver, Cordelia Jones, Charles Jones and Liam Hershberger and sister in law Sherry Britton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Donald Britton.

Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Monday April 11th, 2022 from 1 pm to 2 pm at Bethany Chapel, 15130 Millard Rd, Three Rivers, MI. A memorial service will follow at 2 pm with Pastor Tim Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Bethany Chapel or Pregnancy Helpline of Three Rivers, 172 E.
