Rhoda M Hagelgans Lantz Age 88 Centreville died August 16, 2022 at Three Rivers Health. She was born November 14, 1933 in Sturgis, MI a daughter of Sherman and Florence (Braser) Gilkison. Rhoda graduated from Sturgis High School in 1951. On November 15, 1956 she married Richard Hagelgans Jr. in Centreville, He preceded her in death December 1, 1987. On August 29, 1991 she married Kenneth Lantz in Three Rivers, he preceded her in death January 3, 2005. Rhoda was employed at Denton Mills in Centreville and also at the St. Joseph County Sheriffs Department. While at the Department she worked in the license bureau, Jail and as Deputy Sheriff under Neubert Balk. Rhoda enjoyed bowling, camping, cooking, reading cook books, crochet, puzzles and card playing, She especially loved the Holidays spent with family, Easter being her favorite. Surviving are her children Florence Schrock, Michael (Mary) Hagelgans, Jim (Gwenda Grant) Hagelgans, Julie (Jon) Peters, 19 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and a great great grand on the way, sisters Ilene Nusbaum, Jannita Dewitt, Patricia Gilkison and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Richard Hagelgans and Kenneth Lantz, son in law Ronald Schrock, grand son in law Tyler Hershberger, brother Arthur Gilkison, sisters Doreen Truex, Joyce Gilkison and Gladys Cullipher. Relatives and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Centreville. Religious services will be held Friday at 4:00 PM at Light and Life Wesleyan Church, Three Rivers with Pastor Ryan Lutz officiating. Burial will be in Prairie River Cemetery in Centreville.
