Her laughter will echo in our hearts forever.

Rebecca Lynn Lafler, 25 years old passed away on September 25, 2026 unexpectedly at Borgess Hospital surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born on April 19, 2001 in Sturgis, Michigan to Laura D. Schwartz and Thomas W. Lafler. In accordance with her wishes Becca has continued to give it forward in life with organ donation to the “Gift of Life”. Becca is most remembered by those who knew her as a funny, outgoing, friendly person who loved to just hang out and make long lasting memories. Becca enjoyed her time as a cheerleader and FFA participant for Centerville High School. And enjoyed being outside to fish and camp. She is preceded in death by her grandfather Roy Hudson and Jerry Lafler, her uncle Ken Hudson, her aunt Sherry Janart, and her grandma Bette Schwartz. She is survived by her mother Laura Schwartz, father Thomas Lafler, brother Wayne Schwartz (Carol Butcher), sisters Elizabeth (Adrian) Nieves, Victoria Schwartz, her grandmothers Judy Hudson and Sharon Lafler, and her longtime boyfriend Trevor Helm along with multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 30, 2026 at the Eley Funeral Home 235 W. Burr Oak St., Centreville, MI and on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of services all at the funeral home.

Funeral services for Becca will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 1, 2026 with family at the Eley Funeral Home.
