Raymond Edward Sanders, Jr., 67, passed away April 15, 2021 at his home.  Raymond was born in Sturgis on October 6, 1953, a son of Raymond Edward and Betty Rose (Courtney) Sanders, Sr.  He graduated from Schoolcraft High School in 1972.  On September 9, 1989, he married Sandi McWatters in White Pigeon.

Raymond worked for Simplex Paper Mill in Constantine, retiring after 23 years.  He enjoyed collecting and refurbishing cast iron skillets, going fishing and mushroom hunting, gardening, and bird watching.  He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, entertaining them with tongue twisters, tricks, jokes, and whistling.

Raymond is survived by his wife Sandi Sanders of Constantine; daughters Cassandra McWatters, Jillian (Rob) Burkhart, and Ashley (Matthew) Bugajski; grandchildren Taylor Arterburn, Bryce Watkins, and Josiah, Matthew, and Ashlynn Bugajski; siblings: Mike, Tia, and Francine; nephew Theodore (Crystal), niece Rebecca Payne; and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ray and Betty Sanders, Sr., brother Billy Sanders, nephew John Payne, and aunt Mary Dean.
