Raymond N. Hahn, 81
Vandalia, MI
passed away Thursday, August 16th, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers. He was born in Stoystown, PA on September 5, 1936, a son of Raymond and Violet (Adams) Hahn. Ray graduated from Constantine High School in 1955. On November 27, 1955 he married Sophie Wojcik in Union, MI. She preceded him in death September 14, 2014. Ray worked as a saxophone assembler for the Conn and Selmer Instrument companies in Elkhart, retiring in 2002 after many years of service. Ray also operated his farm. He has been a member of the Cass County 4H since 1970 active with the horses and ponies, member of the horse judging team and member of the Horse leaders association of Cass County. Ray received horse training from Michigan State University.
Raymond is survived by two daughters, Kathy (Ken) Rose, of Jones, Patty (Bill Snodderly) Balcom, of Jones, a son,Tery Hahn of Jones, sister, Susan (Art) Forrester, of Jones; brother, Ronald (Mary) Hahn, of Lakeview, MI, grandchildren Kyle (Katelin) Rose, Kristin (Jordan) Mallo, Morgan Balcom and Logan Balcom, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Ken Hahn and sister and brother in law Audrey and Bob Spence.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to Cass County Leaders Assoc; 120 N. Broadway Suite 209, Cassopolis, MI 49031. Arrangements are being handled by Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Online messages may be left for the family at www.eleyfuneralhomes.com.
