Patrick W. Priest, 76 of Three Rivers, passed away July 17, 2021 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo.  Patrick was born in Midland on April 17, 1945, a son of George and Josephine Priest.    He graduated from Midland High School in 1964 and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Western Michigan University.  Patrick then served in the US Navy in the Vietnam War for 6 years as a Sonar Specialist.   Afterwards, he completed his Doctorate of Law from the University of Akron.

In 1983, he married Brenda Balk.  Patrick worked and retired as a self employed attorney.  He was a member of and was very active at Riverside Church for 26 years.  Presently, he was a member of Life Changing Ministries out of Kalamazoo, Michigan.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  Some of his hobbies include playing the guitar, singing, bowling, swimming, golf and tennis.  He loved music and was a very talented artist.  Patrick coached and refereed soccer.  He was a very generous man, and always found joy in helping others and belonged to many civic organizations within St. Joseph County.

He is survived by his wife Brenda Priest of Three Rivers;  children Dawn (Keith) Heitkamp of Mendon, Mark (Heather) Lillywhite of Three Rivers and Natalie (Scott) Erskine of Beverly Hills; and grandchildren Taylor, Brianna, Titan, Lauren, Colten, James, and Catherine.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

According to his wishes, cremation has taken place.  Relatives and friends will be received on Saturday, July 24 from 10-11 AM at Eley Funeral Home, Centreville, Michigan.  A memorial service will follow at 11 with Pastor Thomas Gregg, Life Changing Ministries, officiating.  Interment and military honors will follow at Prairie River Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Rose Arbor Hospice, Riverside Church or to Life Changing Ministries.
