Patrick S. Culp. age 74 of Sturgis, died November 15, 2023 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born November 11, 1949 in Sturgis, a son of Kenneth and June (Locey) Culp. Patrick graduated from Constantine High School in 1968 where he excelled in sports. He later received his Associates Degree from Glen Oaks Community College and Bachelors Degree in Industrial Arts from Eastern Michigan University. Patrick attended Western Michigan University for his teaching certification continuing education. On October 10, 1970 he married Patricia Holdread at the Constantine United Methodist Church.

Patrick taught Industrial Arts for 22 years at Prairie Heights School in LaGrange. He was an accomplished woodworker, making furniture and toys for his family and friends. Patrick also enjoyed many sports including snow skiing, water skiing and horse riding. He had also previously run for Michigan State Representative.

Surviving are his wife Patricia Culp, Sturgis, brothers Kenneth (Andrea) Culp, Jr., Cape Coral, FL, Michael (Vanessa) Culp, Constantine, sisters Sue Regtuyt, Cape Coral, FL, Cindy Schrock, Indianapolis, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother in law Elbert Regtuyt, nephews Jeff Culp, Jared Culp; niece Cassie Schrock; and great nephew Mason Campars.
