Obituary

Norma M. Fair, 98 of Sturgis, passed away October 15, 2023 in Coldwater.  Norma was born in Constantine on February 2, 1925, a daughter of Lester and Vernie (Wittenburg) Burgener.  She graduated from Constantine High School in 1943.  On September 1, 1946, she married John M. Fair at the First Methodist Church of Constantine.  He preceded her in death.  Norma was a life long farm wife and manager for over 77 years. She also previously worked as a beautician at Midge's Beauty Shop.

Surviving Norma are her children John M. Fair, Jr., Parker Fair, and Elaine Fair, all of Sturgis; grandchildren Jennifer (Tom) Margraf, Joseph (Katie) Fair, Ron (Care) Cary, and Brett Cary (Janine Wasnich); 12 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-laws Darlene Burgener and Jane Burgener; and brother-in-law Paul Fair.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister and brother-in-law Jack and Evelyn Kilpatrick, brothers Glen Burgener and Paul Burgener, and sister-in-law Corine Fair.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private interment of ashes will occur in Oaklawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
