Obituary

Michael A. Donley, a cherished father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, in Elkhart, Indiana. Born in Sturgis, Michigan, on January 4, 1956, to James Donley and Margaret (Clark) Johnson, Michael's journey through life was marked by an unwavering spirit of kindness and a heart full of love for his family.

Michael's early years in Constantine were filled with the simple joys of Midwestern life, where he developed a strong sense of community and an enduring love of the outdoors. His laughter was contagious, his smile could light up a room, and his generosity knew no bounds.

Throughout his life, Michael was a beacon of strength and support to his cherished children, Jennifer and her husband Fred Roberts, Dustin and his wife Ashley, and Tiffany and her husband Caleb. He instilled in them the values of hard work, compassion, and the importance of family. Michael took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to Tommie Hicks, Jr., Donald Hicks, Morgan, McKenzie, Brayden, Jase, Gauge, Landon, and Delaney, imparting wisdom and creating memories that will last a lifetime.

Michael's siblings, Marilyn and her husband Fred Bingaman, Tracy Dimmick, Teresa Dimmick, M.C. Johnson, Scott and his wife Jennifer Johnson, Laura and her husband Greg Birmingham, and Deb Donley, will fondly remember their brother's enduring presence and the countless moments of joy he brought into their lives. His playful spirit and unwavering support were the glue that held the family together through thick and thin.

Preceded in death by his wife, Pam; daughter Beth; loving parents, James Donley and Margaret Johnson, Michael's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the enduring bonds of family. He will be deeply missed by his nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and many friends who were fortunate enough to have known him. His influence will continue to be felt through the stories told and the lives he touched.
