Mary Lou Young, 85 of LaGrange, passed away January 31, 2021 at Miller's Merry Manor in LaGrange, IN.  Mary Lou was born in Three Rivers, MI on March 24, 1935, a daughter of Audrey and Marguerite (Hoyt) Allen.  She attended Schoolcraft public schools.

On October 1, 1954, she married Kermit Young; he preceded her in death in April of 1985.  Mary Lou previously worked for Denton Mills and Dometic. After retirement, she worked part time for the Sturgis Journal.

Surviving are her sons Terry (Mary) Young of Mendon and David (Nora) Young of Topeka; grandchildren Kristy Young, Kendra (Andy) Coleman, and Blaine (Samantha) Young; great grandchildren Jordan, Chelsea, Alexa, Emma, Trinity, Darcy, Ruby, Nolan, Raymond, Serena, Preston, Sebastian, Charlotte, Chrystal and Zach ; one great, great grandchild Presley; siblings Richard Allen, Bonnie McCloud, Jenny Hooker, Helen Shirk, and Merle Carter.

She was preceded in death by her parents Audrey Allen and Marguerite Carter, stepfather Chester Carter, husband, daughter Shirley Cutchall, siblings Don Allen, Chester Carter in infancy, Pat Schragg, Judy Grant, Bernard Carter and stepsister Barbara King; and grandson, Kevin Timm.
