Marvin E. McCloskey, age 81 of Bangor, MI, passed away Thursday, August 23rd, 2012 at Riverview Manor Nursing Home in Three Rivers. He was born in Goshen, IN on May 21, 1931, a son of Edward E. and Hazel B. (Rice) McCloskey. Marvin graduated from Goshen High School and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a tool and die maker and machinist at Uniroyal in Mishawaka and National Water lift in Kalamazoo. He also drove bus for Bangor Public Schools. Marvin was an avid hunter, fisherman and gun enthusiast and enjoyed model trains, remote control airplanes, and building things.Surviving are his sons Martin A. McCloskey and Steve Alan McCloskey, both of Elkhart, IN and their mother Patricia L. McCloskey of Elkhart, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers David, Phillip, Meredith, George and Franklin and sister Charlotte McCloskey.Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan at 1:30 PM on Thursday, September 6th. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association Great Lakes Chapter 310 N.
