Marty Robin Overton, age 51 of Mottville, MI, passed away Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born in Dowagiac on August 30, 1957. Marty served in the U.S. Navy from 1974 to 1976. On August 4, 1990 he married Penny Sue Casselman in Three Rivers. He worked as an Asst. Manager at Fiberglass Composites in Mottville for 12 years, and enjoyed collecting Ducks, racing at Mottville and Jones, working on cars, and painting. Surviving are his wife Penny Overton, daughters Ambrelee Overton, Jamie VanAken, son Aaron Overton, sons Jeremy Overton, Jeff Overton, Josh Overton and their mother Valerie Mansmith, step daughter April Koch, 7 grandchildren, sister Julie (Randy) McCann, brother Faron (Tammy) Weber, step father L.B. Weber. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon (Weaver) Smith, step son J.J. VanAken and uncle Mike Kniffin. Relatives and friends will be received Saturday from 12 - 2 pm at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine where Services will be held Saturday at 2 pm with Pastor Ken Bontrager officiating. Burial will be in the Constantine Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marty Overton memorial fund c/o FNB.
