Mark A. Balentine, age 45 of Constantine, MI, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 25th, 2008 in Florence, KY. He was born in Mishawka, IN on December 11, 1962, the son of Lewis and Grace (Felts) Balentine. Mark attended school in Middlebury, IN. On July 7, 1989 he married Barbara Smeal in Howe, IN. Mark had worked as an Operator at Simplex Paper Co. in Constantine. He enjoyed fishing and billiards and loved to ride his Harley. Most of all Mark cherished his family, always looking forward to spending time with his sons watching their school athletic events, or wrestling and boxing at home. Surviving Mark are his wife Barbara Balentine, Constantine, sons Brandon (Amy) Balentine of Schoolcraft, MI, Markie Balentine of Constantine, Robbie Balentine of Constantine, daughter Amber Balentine of Elkhart,grandsons Lucas and Mason Balentine of Schoolcraft,and one granddaughter, sister Sherry (Randy) Borders of Goshen, IN, brother Darrell (Tammy) Balentine of Osceola, IN, several nieces, nephews, and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Mike Balentine. Cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Thursday July 31, from 5 - 7 p.m.. at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine, where a Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
