Marjorie M Hawkins, age 81 of Constantine, passed away Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She  was born in Schoolcraft on April 19, 1930,  a daughter of  Leon and Cora (Barnell) Westphal. On April 5, 1952 she  married  Junior Hawkins in Sturgis. Marjorie was a Bus Driver for Constantine Public Schools for over 20 years. Marjorie enjoyed  traveling, listening to country music and going dancing.  She loved taking care of her family and was a beautiful wife, mother and grandmother.



Surviving Marjorie are her husband Junior Hawkins, daughter  Marjorie Hayes both of Constantine, sons  Ronnie (Valerie) Hawkins of Sturgis, Robert Hawkins of Constantine, sisters Dorothy (Howard) Harker of Sturgis, Mary (Wayne) Strayer of Howe, IN, 6 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Michael Hayes and great grandson Austin Hayes.



Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Alan Lickfeldt officiating.  Interment will be at Peek Cemetery.
