Marjorie J. Brown, 68 of Idlewild, formerly of Constantine, passed away in Grand Rapids on November 27, 2019. She was born in Three Rivers on April 14, 1951, a daughter of Orville and Alice (Crossgrove) Shirk Sr. She went to Three Rivers Schools. On February 27, 1970, she married Dale Brown in Coldwater; he preceded her in death on January 6, 2009.

Marjorie loved to go sightseeing and listening to music, especially Reba McIntyre. She loved to watch comedy shows, nature walks, and visiting with friends and family.

She is survived by her daughters Julie (Brown) Long, Coeur D'Alene, ID, Teresa (Brown) Johnson, Constantine, and Brenda Brown, Idlewild; grandchildren Anthony Long, Mickey Long, Robert Dale Johnson, Zyler Duane Johnson, William Brown, and Ashley Fox; sister Debbie Shirk, Three Rivers; brother Bruce Shirk, White Pigeon; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Emily Gossnell, brothers Orville Shirk, Jr. and Bert Shirk, and a sister in infancy.

Relatives and friends will be received at Eley Funeral Home, Constantine on Monday, December 2 from 11 am-1 pm, with religious services following at 1 pm. Pastor Merlin Miller of Riverview Christian Fellowship, White Pigeon, will officiate. Burial will be in the Constantine Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be given to the family.
