Margaret M. Ahr, age 87, of Ft. Wayne, IN and formerly of Centreville, passed away Thursday, October 2nd, 2008 at her home following a year long battle with cancer. Margaret was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on June 18, 1921, the daughter of Matthew and Eva (Clark) Beedy.

Margaret and her second husband John, lived in Centreville from 1958 until 1979, where they raised harness horses. She enjoyed going to casinos and loved gardening, especially the flowers she grew when she lived in Arizona. Margaret was a loving mother, wife and homemaker and she will be missed.

Margaret is survived by her daughter, Joline "Jody" (Bill) Dobrowolski of Sturgis, son Jerry (Sherry Brownlee) Ahr of Garrett, IN , grandsons Douglas (Valarie) Ahr, Joe (Ashley) Ahr, Matthew Dobrowolski, and great granddaughter Abigail Ahr. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Richard P. Klopenstein who was killed in W.W.II, second husband John C. Ahr, and brother Robert Beedy.

Relatives and friends will be received Monday from 1 -3 p.m. at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville, with Religious Services immediately following at 3:00 p.m. Reverend Dr. Karin Orr of the Centreville United Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be at Prairie River Cemetery in Centreville. Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Home Health & Hospice Ft. Wayne, IN. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
