Went to the house of the Lord on Thursday March 11, 2016. She was born September 13, 1921 in Detroit a daughter of Girby and Emerilda (Martineau) Duffy. Margaret graduated from Holy Redeemer Catholic School in Detroit. On May 26, 1945 she married Frank J. Kopmeyer, he preceded her in death April 25, 1981.
Surviving are her daughter LeAnn Powell, granddaughter Cristina Powell, daughter in law Mary Talty Kopmeyer, grandson Martin (Julie) Kopmeyer, great grandchildren James, Joseph and Margaret, granddaughter Erin (Jeff) Winslow, great grandsons Kellan, Hugh and Eamon, grandson Matthew (Marie) Kopmeyer, great grandchildren Gordon, Caroline, Bridget, Gretchen and Henry, sister Dorothy Moore Sabo, sister in law Edna (Rudy) Ureste, many nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Gary Kopmeyer (2009), siblings, Harry (Grace), Edmund (Theresa) Girven and Geraldine Duffy, brother in law William Kraly and sister in law Ruth Kraly.
Relatives and friends will be received Tuesday from 10-11:30 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Kalamazoo where Mass of the Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 AM. A visitation and Mass will be held in Southfield and interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield at a later date.
