Madelyn L. Leister, age 93 of Constantine, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021 at Three Rivers Health Hospital. She was born in Three Rivers on July 10, 1928, a daughter of Owen and Helen (McKee) Mann. Madelyn graduated from Constantine High School in 1947. She then continued her education at Glen Oaks Community College and then Western Michigan University, receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. On May 20, 1950, Madelyn married LeRoy Leister and they enjoyed 71 years of marriage together. Madelyn was a Special Education Teacher at White Pigeon Schools, retiring in 1982. She had also worked as a beautician.

Surviving Madelyn are her husband LeRoy Leister of Constantine, daughter Dixie (Ethan) Strawser of Constantine, sons Bruce (Gail) Leister of White Pigeon and Brian (Elaine) Leister of Vandalia, grandchildren Zachary Leister, Jana (Leister) Bellows, Holly (Leister) Bones, Tyler Leister, Lewis Leister, Chelsea Strawser, and great grandchildren Aidan Leister, Ava Leister, Brent Bellows, Isla Bones, Crew Bones, Trevor Bellows, Liam Leister, Ariya Leister, and Oliver Paniagua.

Madelyn was preceded in death by her parents Owen and Helen Mann, brothers Harold Mann and Dale Mann, and sister Alice Jacobs.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. There were no public services. Private graveside services will be held at a later date in Calhoun Cemetery.
