Lynette Louise Parish, age 71, of Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on September 18, 2026. She was born on July 8, 1955, in Sturgis, Michigan, and throughout her life she carried with her the warmth, kindness, and steady love that touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Lynette was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and cherished family member whose greatest joy came from loving the people around her. She treasured her family deeply and built her life around the relationships that mattered most to her. Her presence brought comfort, laughter, and a sense of belonging to those she held dear.

She is survived by her children, Scott Parish, Matthew (Shannon) Gross, and Nate (Sabrina) Whipple. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Jakob, Kassity, Madisyn, Aydan, Alivia, and Tucker, who brought great happiness to her life. Lynette is further survived by her siblings, Jackie Wright, Mary (Ron) Susczko, Lonnie Shafer, and Pam (Doty) Shafer, along with several nieces, nephews, and extended relatives who will carry her memory forward with love and gratitude.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Mildred Shafer; her brother, Gary Shafer and her first husband, Russell Parish.

Lynette was known for loving people and for the deep devotion she had toward her family. She had a kind heart, and she made those around her feel valued and remembered. Her life reflected the importance of family, connection, and compassion, and the legacy she leaves behind is one of love that will continue to live on in the hearts of many.

Those who knew Lynette will remember her as someone who cared deeply and who found meaning in the simple but lasting bonds of life.
