Lynelle Jean (Reed) Peterson, age 66 passed away Sunday, June 8, 2025 surrounded by her family. She lived most of her life in Centreville, MI, graduating from Centreville High School in 1976.

Nell spent her time working with children and families; first through foster care, and later at DHS. She was a strong advocate for children.

Over the years she and Bill brought several children into their home. Her co-workers say that she brought sunshine into the lives of many and her laugh, and sense of humor were contagious.

Her family was the most important thing in her life. Nothing mattered more than her children and grand babies. She was proud of each and every one. It was her Faith that saw her through to the end.

Nell is survived by her daughter's, BreAnna, Caitlyn, Christine, Samantha. Her son Braxton. Her grandchildren LillyAnna, AlexAnder, RileyAnna, Chloe, Emma, Matthew, Jacob, Lauren, Jasmine, McKenna. Brother Tom (Sally) Reed, sister Barb (Virgil) Wittenberg, sisters-in-law Debby Reed and Jan Reed along with a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Jacob, granddaughter Gabrielle, parents James and Lena Reed, brothers Jim, Tim and Mick Reed, sister-in-law Marsha Reed, nephew Chris Reed and Bill Peterson.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
