Lloyd Spurlock, age 79, of Three Rivers, formerly of Constantine, passed away Saturday, July 5th, 2008 at the Heartland Health Care Center. He was born in Three Rivers on January 26, 1929, a son of Arthur and Ruth ( Hamilton) Spurlock. Lloyd attended Constantine High School. He served in the US Army. during the Korean War from Jan. 1951 until Oct. 1952. On Nov. 22, 1961 he married Carol Louise Hardy in Constantine. She preceded him in death on July 21, 2006. Lloyd worked as a butter maker at the Constantine Creamery for 44 years, retiring in 1992. He was a Little League coach and a past member of the American Legion. Lloyd was also a member of the Constantine Fire Dept. for 30 years. He enjoyed camping, bowling and spending time with his family. Surviving Lloyd are his daughters Patricia (Glenn) Dane of Three Rivers, Judith (Dan) Furlong of Constantine, and son George (Laurie) Timm of Three Rivers, MI, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, brother Gail Spurlock, Constantine and several aunts, uncles, cousins and his friends and extended family at Heartland. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Carol Spurlock. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives will be received from 11 - 12 am Friday at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine, where Memorial Services will follow at 12:00 pm with Rev. Tom Reaume of the Ninth Street Methodist Church officiating. Interment and military honors will follow at 2:30 pm at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, with Rev. Carolyn Robinson-Fisher officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to Heartland Hospice.
