Katherine Lucille Betcher, age 90, of Burr Oak, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016at Dear Country AFC where she has been a resident for the past 11 years. She was born in Sturgis on June 12, 1926, a daughter of Albert and Eva (Wolgamon) Baze. Katherine attended Coldwater Schools. She married William 'Bill' Betcher; he preceded her in death on October 22, 1967. Katherine enjoyed knitting scarves and robes for Veterans and the homeless.

Surviving Katherine are her Dear Country friends and the Wolfinger family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Albert Baze, Jr. and Donald Baze, and sister Josephine JoAnn Baze.

Graveside services will take place Thursday, September 15 at 1:00 pm at Constantine Township Cemetery. Pastor Clint Zehr will officiate. Arrangements were entrusted to Eley Funeral Home, Constantine.
