James R. Mallo, age 93 of Constantine, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at Optalis Health and Rehab in Three Rivers. He was born July 20, 1932 in Three Rivers, a son of Russell and Edna (Kindig) Mallo. James graduated from Constantine High School in 1951.

On May 2, 1953 James married Doris E. Parris at Porter Baptist Church in Constantine. She preceded him in death April 24, 2014.

Jim owned and operated his family farm as well as J & D Logging for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and canoeing. Jim also loved to travel, especially to the Upper Peninsula, Tahquamenon Falls and Pictured Rocks.

Surviving are two sons Steve (Vickie) Mallo, Bruce (Cynthia) Mallo, all of Constantine, grandchildren Jennifer, Chad, Andrew, Brian, Jeremy, Jessica, Ashley, Cody, Emily and Daniel, and many great and great great grandchildren, sisters Julia (Chester) Combs, Martha (Robert) Gage, Joyce Riemer, and brother Mahlon Mallo. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, son Rex Mallo, sister Betty Weagley, sister in law Elsie Mallo and brothers in law John Riemer and Jim Weagley.

Relatives and friends will be received Thursday from 6-8 pm  at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine.  Religious services will be held Friday at 11 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Constantine Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Optalis Health and Rehab.
