James Richard Arnold, age 89 of Constantine, MI, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Rivercrest Specialty Hospital in Mishawaka, IN. James was born in Constantine, MI on May 10, 1925, a son of John and Jennie (Benson) Arnold. On June 10, 1950, he married Carol Lepke in Chicago. She preceded him in death on October 27, 2008.

James worked as an instantizer at Constantine Creamery. In his early days, James enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping, and he later loved gardening and watching westerns on television.

James is survived by daughter Jenny (Steve) Osborne of Keystone Heights, FL; sons Steven Arnold of Zionsville, IN and Dale (Debra) Arnold of Constantine; brother Paul Arnold; grandchildren Chad Arnold, Matt Arnold, Adam (Elizabeth) Arnold; Todd Plank, Joe Plank; Ray (Gail) Cudney, Shawn (Kim) Cudney, April Cudney; Amanda (David) Flores; and many great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Lois Elaine Potter, son Raymond R. Arnold, and sister Anna Filardo.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday from 5-7pm at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine where funeral services will be on Thursday at 1pm. Interment will be at Constantine Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Three Rivers Hospice.
