Irma J. (Smith) Johnson, age 90, of Constantine, passed away September 3, 2022 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born August 9, 1932 in Columbia City, IN, a daughter of Ralph and Lura (Kneller) Smith. Irma graduated from Centreville High School in 1951. On January 21, 1960 she married Guy R. Johnson in Three Rivers. Irma's passion in life was her love of family; instilling her values of hard-work, morals, ethics and integrity. Surviving are her husband Guy Johnson, Constantine, sons Richard Johnson, Constantine, Ronald (Michelle) Johnson, Constantine, John Johnson, Kalamazoo, 3 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, sisters Sally (Dale) Stuby, Centreville, Susan Outman, Constantine, several nieces and nephews. Irma was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Joan Oxender, Lois Hassenger, brother Benton Alexander and step brothers Charles Alexander and Arden Alexander. Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday from 4 - 7 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. A Graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 AM at Calhoun Cemetery, 64010 Burgener Rd., Constantine, MI. Pastor Ken Gill, Fair Haven Baptist Church, Constantine will officiate.
