Obituary

Gregory L. Dimos age 46 of Jones, passed away Monday, August 26th, 2013 at his home, following a long battle with cancer. He was born in Elkhart, IN on December 31, 1966, a son of Loren and Sonja (Frisby) Dimos. Greg graduated from White Pigeon High School in 1985 and attended Grand Rapids Community College and Ivy Tech. On August 1, 1992 he married Kimberly Stoner at Porter Baptist Church in Constantine.



Greg was a foreman at Michiana Steel Erectors in Elkhart, IN for over 20 years. He enjoyed annual trips with his friends, fishing and hunting and was currently restoring a VW Van with his boys. Greg was a member of Sugar Grove Church in Goshen and was active as a youth group leader. He previously attended Porter Baptist Church where he was a member of the softball team and was active with the youth groups. Greg cherished his family, never missing any of his children events, serving as coach for many of their teams.



Surviving Greg are his wife Kim Dimos, daughter Hope Dimos, sons Nicholas Dimos and Jake Dimos, all of Jones/Constantine, sister Debra Dunn and brother Steven (Cindy) Dimos, all of LaGrange, nieces and nephews Dustin, Devin, Austin, Autumn, Derrick, Dylan, Logan, Morgan, Dawson, Garren, Tanner and Gavin. He was preceded in death by his parents.



Relatives and friends will be received Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine and Friday from 10-11 am at Sugar Grove Church, 58512 Old County Rd 17, Goshen, IN, where Religous Services will follow at 11 am Friday with Pastor Rick Gering officiating. Interment will be held Friday at 3 pm at Shavehead Cemetery, Constantine.



Memorial contributions may be made to Ribbon of Hope Cancer Support Ministry at Elkhart General Hospital Foundation/Ribbon of Hope; 600 E. Boulevard Elkhart, IN 46514, or to the family c/o the Dimos Memorial Fund where contributions may be made at any TCU, or mailed to TCU; 13050 SR23, Granger, IN 46530. Donations may also be left at the funeral home.
