Grace Stafford, 90
Constantine
passed away Friday, June 6th, at Borgess Medical Center, Kalamazoo. Grace was born in St. Louis, MI on November 29, 1923, a daughter of Albert and Maryetta (Hardy) Bigelow. She attended school at St. Louis Public Schools. On Oct 7, 1940, Grace married Randall Stafford in St. Louis, MI. He preceded her in death November 25, 2001.
She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, and crocheting. She especially loved spending time with her family.
Grace is survived by her children Mary Ewing, Shirley (John) Hackler, Randi (Charles) Witek, Carl (Sharon) Stafford and Brad (Brenda) Stafford; grandchildren Debra Allbritton, Karen Ragsdale, Kevin Jonker, Mark Jonker, Kym Hollars, Cheryl Hickey, Lisa Huff, Scott Baughman, John Hackler, Bonnie Steele, Mira Witek, Eric Stafford, Dustin Stafford, David Stafford, and Nathan Stafford; 31 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son-in-law Ross Ewing, grandson Edward Jonker, great-grandchildren Jason Wickett and Gracie Mae Burlington, 7 brothers and sisters.
Relatives and friends will be received Monday, June 9, 2014 at Eley Funeral Home, Constantine from 2-4 p.m. Religious services will follow at 4 p.m. with Reverend John McClimans, First Church of God Three Rivers, officiating. Interment will be at Constantine Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph County C.O.A. or Constantine Fire and Rescue.
