Gordon Harold Preston, age 66 of Three Rivers, passed away Monday, April 13, 2015 his home. He was born in Three Rivers on February 12, 1949, a son of Harold and Ruth (Church) Preston, Sr. Gordon served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, receiving both a Purple Heart and Bronze Star. On February 24, 1976 he married Ruth A. Edwards in Constantine. Gordon was a truck driver at Great Lakes Steel, and most recently he worked at Simplex Paper in Constantine for 17 years.

Survivinr are his wife Ruth Preston, Three Rivers, sisters Caralene Skelton, Constantine, Diane (Matt) Bergakker, Constantine, Cathy (Jerry) Bergakker, Portage, Susan (Tate) Echola, Crystal Falls, brother Leroy (Peg) Preston, Constantine, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, sister Louise Lawson and brother Harold L Preston, Jr.

According to his wishes cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received Saturday from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Eley Funeral Homes in Constantine where Religious Services will be held at 2:00 PM with Pastor Scott Manning of Constantine United Methodist Church officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Eley Funeral Home to help with expenses.
