Obituary

Gladys Opal Tracy, age 102 of Constantine, passed on May 16, 2014.at Riverview Manor in Three Rivers. She was born May 24, 1911 in Blackford County, IN, a daughter of John E. and Artie (Culbertson) Lambert. Gladys She married Lee C. Tracy November 26, 1929 in Kalamazoo by Rev. Henry Hulme, pastor of Constantine Methodist Church.

Gladys is survived by her sons Walter L. Tracy (Lois) of White Pigeon, and Ronald J. Tracy (Rebecca) of Elkhart, IN. She was blessed with 5 grandsons, Stephen Lund (Nancy Savonic) of Oregon, Rudy Lund of Cassopolis, Scott Lund (Tami) of Galien, Phillip Tracy (Lisa Amoroso) of Evanston, IL and Richard Tracy of Portage, 2 granddaughters Sarah Santerre (Don) of Elkhart and Amy Branson (John) of Elkhart. She has 6 great grandsons, Alexia & Eric Lund, Zachary Lund, Joe Santerre, Andrew Branson and Nathaniel Tracy-Amoroso, 6 great granddaughters, Amanda Lund, Chloe Santerre, Olivia Branson, Jane Santerre, Kacie Lund, Crystal Lund, and Carmen Tracy-Amoroso, and 1 great great granddaughter Olivia Lund. She was preceded in death by her husband Lee C Tracy, daughter Ruthe Lund, and her 5 sisters and 5 brothers.

Gladys was a Girl Scout leader, Den Mother, and a 4-H leader. She was also a member of the Junior Band Parents and a leader of Jr. Methodist Church Youth Fellowship. Gladys was a devoted member of the Pine Street Club of Constantine since 1930. She was also a member of the Constantine United Methodist Church since 1930. Gladys was one of the organizers of the Fairview Auxiliary Guild in Centreville where she did volunteer work. She attended the Widow's Support group of St. Joseph Co.

Relatives and friends will be received at Eley Funeral Home in Constantine Monday from 5-8 PM, where services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Pastors Scott Manning and Pastor John Huhtula will officiate. Burial will be in Constantine Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Riverview Activities Fund or Constantine Methodist Church.
