Gerald Lee Millirans, age 74 of Amarillo, TX and formerly of Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Nov. 8, 2009, following a long illness. He was born June 7, 1935 in Martin, MI, to Lawson and Gertrude Millirans, As one of eleven children, he attended Martin schools. Gerald married Shirley Ann Cook in 1958, they were united until her sudden passing in 1998. Gerald enjoyed playing the piano and his mandolin, as well as camping and traveling with his family. His true passion was praying and reading God's word. He and his wife were both firm believers in the Pentecostal faith. Surviving are his sons Gary Hoard of Texas, Victor, Robin, Brian and Ben Millirans, all of Michigan, daughters Pam Vigil and Kimberly Sherwood of Texas and Marsha Frye of Michigan, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and three sisters. Preceding him in death were his parents, wife, two sons, Douglas and Craig Millirans, his brothers and a sister. Visitation will be Thursday from 6-8 pm at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 13, 2009 at Faithfinders Church in Constantine, MI with Pastor Tony Scott officiating. Burial in Cedar Creek Cemetery, Delton, MI.
