George Ernest Grostick, 73 of Three Rivers, passed away December 26, 2023 at his home.  George was born in Howell, MI on July 17, 1950, a son of Charles and Sylvia (Kitinoja) Grostick.  He graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1969 and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Education from Central Michigan University.  George was an All-State wrestler in high school, and earned a scholarship to compete at CMU.  On February 20, 1977, he married Wendy Smoll at St. Paul's Lutheran Church; they were later divorced.  George worked for International Paper in Howell for 25 years.  He was an assistant wrestling coach at Fowlerville High School for several years.  George was an avid sports fan, his favorite being Michigan Football.  He was a true outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing whenever he could.

George is survived by his daughter Heather Grostick-Jones of Battle Creek, son Bradley (Carey) Grostick of Bristol, grandchildren Alexis Grostick, Gauge Starkweather, Tori Grostick, and Kaitlynn Grostick, great granddaughter Ceinna Duran, brother Alan (Sara) Grostick of Warrior, AL, and niece and nephew Charles Grostick and Laura Grostick.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
