Elizabeth "Betty" "Liz" Cruce, age 92 of White Pigeon, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born June 20, 1923 in Battle Creek, a daughter of Howard and Bessie (Rouch) Mix. Betty graduated from Battle Creek Central in 1940. She married Avril "Bob" Cruce in October 1941, they later divorced. Betty retired as a mail carrier for the US Post Office in Arlington, VA and Battle Creek. She attended the Constantine United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children John (Marcie) Cruce, Arlington, TX, Ellen Young, Nebraska, A.L. (Ruth) Cruce, Grand Rapids, Catherine Renee (Fred) Wolf, Constantine, Jeffery (Stephanie) Cruce, Grand Priaire, TX, daughter-in-law Shigeko Cruce, Syracuse, NY, grandchildren Dale, Kimmi, Brian, Terri, Kelly, Christy, Elizabeth, Josh, Carrie and Fred, great grandchildren Nora, Gretchen, Helena, Bek, Michael, Katie, Fabion, Kyleighana & Lilliana and great great grandsons Andrew & Zakary. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Michael Cruce, sisters Mickie Britt and Eunice "D" Jans, and brothers Lyle Mix, Albert Mix and Howard Mix.

According to her wishes cremation has taken place and Memorial Service will be held 11 am Friday at Constantine United Methodist Church with Pastor Scott Manning officiating. Online messages may be left for the family at www.eleyfuneralhomes.com
