Douglas Wade Smith, age 53 of Jones, passed away Friday, September 5, 2014 at his home. He was born in Morris, IL on April 30, 1961, a son of Ernie and Lennie (Greer) Smith. Doug worked as a rewinder operator at White Pigeon Paper Mill for over 12 years.



Douglas is survived by his mother, Lennie Smith, Jones; step son, Christopher Crumb, MI; a step grandson; sister, Priscilla (Rodney) Springer, Morris, IL; brothers, James Smith, Colon; Emerson (Lila) Smith, Joliet, IL; George (Deb) Smith, White Pigeon; and girlfriend Elaine Swartz, Cassopolis.

He was preceded in death by his father, wife Vicky (Justice) Smith, step son David Pointer, brother Willard Smith, and niece Heather Ann Smith.



Private memorial services will be held at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Interment of ashes will be in Constantine Township Cemetery.
