Dorothy B. Munson,age 99 of Constantine, passed away March 7, 2010 at Matthew 7:7 adult foster care home in White Pigeon. She was born in Attica, IN on August 14, 1910, the daughter of Walter and Ellen (Stone) Lawson. Dorothy attended Kalamazoo Public Schools. On February 19, 1927 she married Paul D. Munson in Bristol, IN. He preceded her in death on September 18, 1985. Dorothy was a homemaker, dedicating herself to her family. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Constantine, since 1949, and also a life member of Eastern Star #210 of Three Rivers, where she was a past worthy matron. Dorothy also belonged to the Church Women's Association serving as treasurer. She enjoyed raising African Violets and reading. Surviving Dorothy are her daughter Patricia (Steve) Woltman, Camas, WA, sons Richard (Lois) Munson, Constantine, and Bernard P. "Budd" (Helen) Munson, White Pigeon, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Billy Eugene Munson, grandson Michael Paul Munson, great grandson, Shane Powell, and brother Leonard Lawson. Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday, March 10 from 5-8 p.m. at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine. Religious services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church with Reverend Dennis Smith officiating. Interment will be in Constantine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be directed to the Constantine Area Community Foundation /Munson Family Endowment for Messiah Lutheran Church.
