Doris Jean Edwards, age 64, of Constantine, MI, passed away  Sunday, December 25th, 2011 at Three Rivers Health Hospital. She was born in St. Joseph, Michigan on February 14, 1947,  a daughter of Jesse and Beatrice (Gast) Ball. Doris graduated from Stevensville Lakeshore High School in 1965.  On May 28, 1966 Doris married Billy G. Edwards in Berrien Springs, MI. He preceded her in death June 26, 2000. She was a loving and devoted wife mother and grandmother who cherished her family and took pride in caring for them.Surviving are her daughter  Laura (Joe) Flanagan of Bellaire, MI, son Douglas (Fiancé' Andrea) Edwards of Constantine, sisters Barb Ball of Stevensville, MI, Sharon (Charles) McGillvray of Bald Knob, ARK, brother Larry (Marge) Ball of Constantine, grandsons Douglas Edwards, of Elkhart, IN and Brandon Edwards, Constantine. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers Jim and Mike Ball and sister Lucy Reck. Relatives and friends will be received Wednesday from 10 am to 12 p.m. at the Eley Funeral Home in Constantine where Religious Services will follow at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 28th. Interment will be in the Peek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue Fund.
