Denise Lou McNeal, 63 of Gobles, born on January 8, 1956, a daughter of William and Lena Ackley, passed away July 17, 2019 at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Kiyana McNeal, younger brother Scott Ackley, and parents William and Lena Ackley.

She leaves behind her husband Randy McNeal, children Shane (Rhonda) McNeal of Montpelier, IN, Jacey Wolkins of Gobles, Kristi Schmidt of Three Rivers, and Randy McNeal of Lawton; grandchildren Colton and Sissy McNeal, Justin, Kayla, Deven, and Hunter Wolkins, Mykel and Rosie Jones, Austin Yunker, Taylor, Dakota, and Bryce Schmidt, and Kyle and Griffin McNeal; and siblings Diane (Steve) Almas of Morley, Tom (Linda) Ackley of Baltimore, MD, Randy (Dawn) Ackley of Hesperia, and Merri (Gene) Decker of Ravenna.

Denise was formerly employed as a certified nurses assistant at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids. She was a member of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Club and the AKC.

Per her request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held Wednesday July 24, 2019 at 2 pm at Gobles United Methodist Church (210 E. Exchange St., Gobles, MI 49055).
