Delman Eastes, who was born on June 22, 1939, in Hammond, Indiana, and passed away on August 9, 2026, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, lived a life marked by service, devotion, and steady kindness.

He was a devoted husband to his wife, Teddie, and a loving father to his children, John Eastes and his wife Lynn, Jennifer Winship and her husband Kevin, and Mark Kinney and his wife Debra. He took great pride in his family and cherished the many moments he shared with them throughout his life. His love extended to his grandchildren, Chelsea, Mary, Jack, Jordyn, Alyx, Cameron, Mark, and Mariah as well as his great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Liam, Bennett, MacKenzie, and Mariana, all of whom brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his brothers, Doug Eastes and his wife Susan, David Eastes and his wife Joy, along with several nieces, nephews, and many extended relatives. He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia on January 11, 2011 and his parents, Earl and Ethelyn Eastes.

Delman served his country as a veteran of the United States Air Force, a role he carried with honor and pride throughout his life. His sense of duty and commitment to others remained evident long after his military service ended. He was active in many organizations and held membership in the Free Masons and the Shriners, where he valued fellowship, tradition, and service to others. He also served as past commander of the Three Rivers American Legion, a position that reflected both his leadership and his deep respect for fellow veterans.

Delman was a man of many interests and talents. He was a private pilot who appreciated the freedom and discipline of flying, and he enjoyed golf, which gave him both recreation and companionship. He was also deeply involved in his community and church, where his presence was felt through his generosity, reliability, and sincere care for others. Those who knew him will remember his warm spirit, his strong work ethic, and the quiet way he made a difference in the lives around him.

Delman’s life was one of purpose, loyalty, and faithfulness to the people and causes he held dear. He was the kind of man who led by example and who understood the value of family, service, and friendship. His legacy will live on in the memories of those who loved him, in the lessons he passed down, and in the many lives he touched over the years.

He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though his passing leaves a great emptiness, his long and meaningful life stands as a lasting testament to honor, devotion, and love.

Funeral services for Delman will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, August 14, 2026 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 56050 Buckhorn Rd., Three Rivers, MI 49093.

Delman’s family will greet relatives and friends from 10:00 am until the time of services Friday at the church.

Interment will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
