Deborra D. Jones, age 50

passed away Thursday, May 22nd, 2008 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. She was born in Lansing, MI on February 14, 1958, a daughter of Bruce and Sara Jean (Evarts) Jones. Deborra graduated from Centreville High School in 1976 and attended Glen Oaks Community College. She later received her BA degree in English from M.S.U. Deborra was an accomplished seamstress, pianist and poet. She also loved to paint and create pottery and sculptures. Deborra spent many hours enjoying the outdoors and nature, hunting morel mushrooms and taking walks in the woods. She was supportive of animals through the Humane Society and St. Joseph Co. Animal Rescue.
Surviving are her mother Sara Jean (Wendell) Moyer, Sturgis, father Bruce (Barbara) Jones, Centreville, sister Christine (Rob) Adams of Tinley Park, IL, brothers Douglas (Yvonne) Jones of Chicago, IL, Daniel Jones of Colon, step sister Jacqueline (Anthony) Bowen of Three Rivers, step brothers Sha d (Cathy) Carpenter of Centreville, Jon (Shari) Moyer of Columbus, OH, Thomas Moyer of Sparks, NV, Steven (Anne) Moyer of London, England, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and special friend Doug Smith.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held Sat., June 21, 2008 at 10:00 am at the Centreville United Mehtodist Church with Rev. Dr. Karin Orr officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to Rose Arbor Hospice. Envelopes are available at the Eley Funeral Home in Centreville.
