Darlene M. Hartzell, 64, of Constantine, passed away June 11, 2018 at Three Rivers Hospital. She was born in Traverse City on October 16, 1953, a daughter of Edward and Deloris (Gaines) Hartzell. Darlene graduated from Constantine High School in 1971. She worked as a waitress at the Harvey House in Constantine for many years, and also previously worked for Kirsch and Shadow Cruiser RV.

Darlene enjoyed doing fill-in puzzles and hidden object games, loved to dance, was an avid reader, but most of all, she cherished time spent with her family.

She is survived by her daughters Lisa (David) Rundman of Constantine and Amanda Hartzell of Constantine; grandchildren Jordan, Danielle, and Tyler Hartzell; great grandson Colson Tucker; sisters Irene Hartzell (Tim) of Buckley, Marlene (Larry) Price of Three Rivers, and Charlene Hatton of Traverse City; brother Edward "Butch" Hartzell (Sandy) of Mesic; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Relatives and friends will be received on Friday, June 15 from 4-6PM at Eley Funeral Home, Constantine. Religious services will follow at 6PM with Pastor Glenn Bell of Faithfinders Church officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.
