Claude "Ray" Frederick, 65, of Union City, MI, formerly of Hammond, IN, passed away Wednesday, August 6th, 2014 at his daughter's home surrounded by his family. Claude was born in Hammond, IN on December 17, 1948, a son of Claude Wilson and Blanche (Mac Vain) Frederick. He graduated from Hammond Tech High School in Hammond, IN. He served in the US Army from 1966 to 1969. Ray worked as a Crane Operator.

Claude is survived by daughters Shelly (Dorman) Snyder of Union City, MI and Heather Frederick of Coldwater, MI; grandchildren Ashley, Meaghan and Austin Snyder; sisters Joyce Rodgers and Mary Beacon; brother Bob Frederick; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Jane Hill.

According to Ray's wishes cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Eley Funeral Home in Centreville.
